The hardware is not powerful enough to simultaneously playback 16x4MP streams. Its a great option if you are on a budget but I would encourage you to look at our best value recommendation below. ports advanced motion detection algorithms to cut down on false alerts. Besides you can always add more higher resolution cameras as 4 PoE ports are available for further expansion. Although it come with only 1 hard drive, you can add up to 4 in total for an amazing level of redundancy. You can even specify which cameras should be recorded on each disk – that is a degree of fine tuning that you cannot get in lesser models. I am not as happy about the lack of 4K output, especially as the NVR supports cameras of up to 6MP.
